Editorial Policy

Editorial policy

Fold & Ferry exists to help you buy the right packing cube, not to move the one that pays us most. This policy states plainly how we work and where the lines are.

Independence from commission

We earn affiliate commission when you buy through our links (see the affiliate disclosure). That commission never influences a ranking or a verdict. When a cheaper product is the better buy — which, in packing cubes, is often — we say so and rank it first, even though it pays us less. Buyer-first beats commission, every time.

How we research and source

Every factual claim is sourced. Dimensions, capacities, materials and warranty terms come from the manufacturer's own product pages or retailer listings, and we link them in a Sources section on each page. Prices come live from the Amazon Product API. Our full method, including the scoring rubric, is on the methodology page.

No fabrication

We do not invent test results, star ratings, reviews or testimonials. We do not claim to have hands-on tested cubes we don't own. Our scores are judgments from documented research, clearly framed as such. Where we can't verify a claim, we say so on the page rather than quietly leaving it out or guessing.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and specs change. If you spot an error, tell us on the contact page. We aim to correct verified factual errors within 48 hours and to note significant corrections where it matters.

Update cadence

Prices refresh automatically from the live price layer. We review each roundup and review's picks and "last updated" date regularly, re-rank when a top pick goes out of stock, and audit spec accuracy when a manufacturer revises a product. Every page shows the date it was last updated.
