About Fold & Ferry

Fold & Ferry is a site about one thing: packing cubes. Not travel gear in general, not luggage, not "20 things for your next trip." Packing cubes — every model worth buying, specced, sized and compared, with the compression and cost-per-cube math that the broad travel-gear sites never publish. If that sounds obsessively narrow, good. That's the point.

Why a whole site about packing cubes

Because nobody else does it properly. Search "best packing cubes" and you get the same six sets ranked for everyone, on huge sites that cover packing cubes one week and camp stoves the next. None of them tell you what a cube costs per liter, how much a compression set actually reclaims, or which cube is wrong for your trip. We go one category deep instead of a mile wide, and answer the questions a buyer actually has.

Who writes this

Stephen V.— an enthusiast who's genuinely into getting the details of packing right. Not a "veteran gear tester," not a certified anything. Someone who reads the manuals, compiles the published specs, does the arithmetic, and cites the sources. No lab coat, and no pretending to own one. We think that's a more honest basis for a recommendation than a testing claim you can't verify — and it happens to be the thing this niche is missing.

What we do — and don't

We do compile manufacturer specs, compute the numbers that decide a purchase, pull live prices from Amazon, and rank against a published rubric. We don'tclaim to have hands-on tested cubes we don't own, invent star ratings, or fabricate reviews. Where we can't verify something, we say so on the page. Read exactly how it works in our methodology, and how we're funded in our affiliate disclosure.

The short version

One category, done exhaustively and honestly. If you want the packing cube that's right for yourtrip and a straight answer about what it'll cost and do, that's what this site is for. Start with the best packing cubes roundup, or get in touchif we've got something wrong.
